The Food Court promised 5 street food businesses from around the world including American-style Chicken, German Sausage and Greek Gyros, this would allow the market to open 5 days a week, Tuesday – Saturday. On the day of the launch all the traders in the food court set up for a busy day, with Cliff Woodage, local musician, setting a fantastic atmosphere in the brand-new seating area which included free customer Wi-Fi. Along with Lion Learners, a free educational animal handling company who spent the day at the market with lots of fury friends and creepy crawlies that the customers, new and old enjoyed be-friending. Many have praised the market for their efforts in creating a new attraction on the market and customers had said the launch created a real ‘buzz’ around the market. Each individual street food trader had mentioned what a fantastic day it had been, as well as other traders who benefited from the extra footfall.

5 Foods you MUST try from the Food Court.

1. Gyros from The Greek Shack.

This traditional Greek dish can be found at The Greek Shack. You have the choice of chicken, pork or mixed and it is served on a fresh lightly toasted pita bread with a generous layer of tzatziki sauce, then the meat is added and topped with fresh onion and tomatoes. It is then finished off with a sprinkle of oregano. For an alternative vegetarian option, they also sell feta and halloumi or a mix of both. This delicious dish is served for £4 with the option to add feta for 50p.
